THE START

SITTING IN A DRYER, HEADING TO THE MOON.

It doesn’t matter what age you are, imagination can take you anywhere. This is how Vonder Cosmos was started. An unfinished idea, influenced by thoughts and illustrations, created just because. We don’t know what the future holds, but the following images show how we began.

Below are two people that influenced the design and purpose of Vonder Cosmos. The first, Carl Sagan:

“The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplation’s of the Cosmos stir us — there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation, as if a distant memory, of falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries.”

– Carl Sagan

I don’t know of his influences, or many of the scientists before, but we find comfort in Mr. Sagan’s perspective. This blip of an existence on Earth is just that, a flash in space time where we have the control to move the human race as we choose,.. hopefully forward.

The second, Marie Jager’s – Timelines Fig 3 Scandinavia:

Non-chronological time. The zero point of time as well as the ending of time is simultaneously with the person at any given moment of the present. Time does not really unfold as a traditional narrative; it exists rather as coexisting pockets (of sensibility?) that originate from the individual.

PAST<|>FUTURE

We expanded on the idea of coexisting pockets. The past being WAS, present as IS, and the future WILL BE. Vonder Cosmos represents the IS, that pocket in time where creation happens, when Present simultaneously creates the Past and Future. Whatever we do in present time will live in the past and write the future, even if you do nothing, now, that will be something.

Yes, there are times we think this may be an over examination of our existence, but so what. The point is to create for the sake of creation, to embrace the act of trying. It is paramount that we focus on our individual capabilities, to continue learning, to realize the potential of contribution, and to celebrate the value of diversity.

If you read this, be thankful to have eyes and the ability to comprehend written information. Do something with that. Sit in a dryer if needed, imagining is the start to something. That’s how Vonder Cosmos started.
